They are the result of collaborating with talented reporters, photographers, editors, producers, and storytellers who share a passion for great journalism. These projects show what can happen when creative people work together to tell meaningful stories that inform, engage, and connect with viewers.

2026 Capital Nomination
Esperanza Bajo ICE (Faith Under Ice)

I’m honored to be nominated for a 2026 Capital Emmy Award alongside reporter Ana Sofia Román and photographer Tyler Rydson for Esperanza Bajo ICE (Faith Under Ice), a three-part feature produced for CoastTV News and Telemundo Delmarva.

The project was nominated in the News Feature – Serious Feature (Multiple Reports) category at the 68th Annual Capital Emmy Awards. The series focused on the story of pastor Daniel Fuentes Espinal and his detention by ICE, examining the impact on his faith and family.

This nomination follows last year’s Capital Emmy win for CoastTV’s feature on Georgetown’s historic Return Day tradition.

FEATURED WORK

The Price of Paradise is a CoastTV special examining the rapid growth transforming Sussex County and the impact development is having on local communities, infrastructure, and farmland.

I served as editor, photographer, and visual designer on the project, helping shape the story through cinematic visuals, long-form storytelling, and documentary-style production.

Special thanks to News Director John Dearing and reporter Maddie Overturf for their leadership, reporting, and collaboration throughout the production.

Watch Honor Flight

Honor Flight was one of the most rewarding projects I've worked on. Spending time with veterans as they visited the memorials built in their honor offered a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by generations of Americans. My role was to help capture those moments through photography, video, and storytelling, preserving memories that were often deeply emotional for both the veterans and their families.

More than a news story, this project was an opportunity to document history through the people who lived it, and I am grateful to have been part of telling their stories.

  • Every once in a while you add a piece to your newsroom that changes the ceiling of what you, as a station, can do. Ted Corriero has definitely done that for CoastTV this year.

Charlie Sokaitis Coast | TV News Anchor

  • Ted has been one of my favorite people to work with. He brings a lot of talent and professionalism to his projects. His editing expertise and attention to detail matched with his intrinsic understanding of the industry created a wonderful working relationship. He is not afraid to work hard, try new things, and often goes above and beyond what is asked of him. Anyone would be lucky to have Ted on their team!

Emily Foster | Sr. Manager Editorial at Paramount

  • Ted went above and beyond to make sure the final product was just the way I wanted it. He threw in some great suggestions to enhance the overall quality. He's a great communicator as well - super pleasant. I can't say enough.

Santa on trial: Miracle on 34th Street reenactment

We cover this mock trial every year, but contract agreements prevent us from shooting video during the trial itself - only stills. That constraint pushes me to rethink the approach each time. This was my solution this year.

Thanks to CoastTV for the creative freedom.

    Before Sunrise: The Pony Swim

I was on the ground before sunrise for the annual Pony Swim, waking up at 3 a.m. to trek through mud and follow the herd across the channel. We filmed all morning, then turned the piece the same day - editing in a last-minute hotel conference room to make the evening newscast. I worked with Madeleine Overturf and Brandon Ferguson to finish on deadline.

    Return Day

Cool Graphics, Music, and a Good Story!

Return Day is a unique tradition you can only find on the Delmarva Peninsula. Every election, people return to the County Seat to hear the returns of the election read out loud. It's a historic day of celebration and bipartisanship that dates back to the 1800s. I was one of the photographers on this piece, contributing as part of a huge collaboration with the talented team at CoastTV. Madeleine Overturf wrote the story, and I was the editor.

Senator Carper bids farewell, reflects on years in office

We were given just a few minutes with Senator Carper on his last day. In a shoot like this, the pressure to get every detail right is intense (clean audio is no accident!). I collaborated with Kristina DeRobertis, CoastTV anchor and video journalist, to document and share his story.

I'm proud of this one. I shot the interview and B-roll in just 30 minutes, and Charlie Sokaitis wrote it.

I like switching up the way I shoot interviews. Notice the helmet in the foreground!

It's those kinds of details that will always elevate your work. IMHO :)
